November Time

It’s officially November and like October (and probably every other month of the year) there are a ridiculous number of causes and events crammed into thirty days. In this month alone we are supposed to be aware of pancreatic cancer, COPD, Alzheimer’s, lung cancer, homeless youth, crohn’s and ulcerative colitis, stomach cancer, prematurity, epilepsy and diabetes. Sounds like a downer. On the bright side these are the things celebrated all month long – drums, pomegranates, Native American heritage and novel writing. So once you’re all bummed out from thinking about a slew of diseases go write a novel, drink a pomegranate martini, watch a Twilight movie and play some drums. Oh wait, I guess watching a Twilight movie would be the opposite of celebrating Native American heritage. Those movies celebrate nothing but sparkles. Hmmm, go watch some Dr. Quinn instead.
