Downton Abbey Season 3

I have to admit I love Downton Abbey. I'm super excited the new season has begun even though it doesn't premier here in the U.S. until January. Oh well, that's what the internet is for. Here's a trailer for the new season. It's a little dramatic, but still gets me excited for what's to come.

Katamari Cousin of the Day

Since the Katamari games are one of my favorite things of all time I thought I'd have some fun with the many different cousins that appear in the games.

Foomin

She is a cousin of the Prince that first appears in Katamari Damacy. Apparently she has two brains, one in each part of her head, but isn't very intelligent.

I Don't Know Why But I Really Want to Play This Now

I randomly had a memory of playing Number Munchers when I was younger and for some reason feel like I must play it. Probably because it is so awesome.

Nothing like climbing a mountain via doing basic math on a computer.

In a time where the mouse didn't exist.

Number Munchers, changing history.

A Diligent Friend

Oh that Laura Ingalls. Always trying to help a friend out.

Possibly the Greatest Superhero Costume Ever

This is what happens when you take a thirteen year old superhero to a Dazzler concert.

Not My Oregon Trail

I stumbled upon the newer version of The Oregon Trail, and it just looks so weird to me. Honestly, there is nothing cartoonish about a case of Dysentery or crossing the Snake River on a raft.

Now this is more like it.

You better get a splint on that Mary.

Nothing like hunting for some buffalo.

Maybe we should hire an Indian guide.

The Best Morning Show

There is nothing like waking up to some Troy and Abed in the Morning!

The Perks of Being a Wallflower

I'm pretty excited because one of my favorite books is now a movie. This could be good or bad seeing how movies rarely live up to the books they are based on. I feel pretty good about this one since the author, Steven Chbosky, also wrote the screenplay and is directing the film. I'm excited to see how the story will be handled on film. Here's the trailer.

A Little Candy Reminiscing

I don't know why, but earlier today I started thinking back on some of the candy I used to love as a kid. Some of it's still around, but sadly, others like the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles ice cream are no more.

The TMNT ice cream bars with bubble gum eye balls. I remember always getting these when we'd go to Murtle Beach in the summer.

Pop Rocks, still around and as crackling good as ever.

Candy Cigarettes, a classic. There really isn't anything that can compare to the satisfaction of making a perfect, grooved design in them with your teeth.

The Jawbreaker. It was always exciting to go to a candy store in the mall because they had these. I don't know if I actually ever finished one of the big ones.

I loved Slimer Gum. It came in a toothpaste-like tube. They said it was gum, but it never really seemed too chewy. I think I really just ate the stuff.

Bonkers gum. Nothing like an extra flavor boost!

Who would have thought dipping a candy stick into a pouch of flavored sugar would be so rewarding? I tried to eat some recently, but I just can't do heaps of sugar like a used to.

As If Pregnancy Wasn't Weird Enough

They make some weird creepy pregnant dolls. Here are some of the ones I found.

This is so weird. It even comes with an attachable pregnant belly so she'll look like this.

And there is this nice little gem.

And then there is the strangest, grossest one.

It makes me feel unpleasant.

This Looks So Terrible

So terrible I may have to watch it. If so I'm sure drinks will be involved.

Manhandled: Double Dare Style

It is so weird how Marc Summers is dragging the kids around the course. I swear that one is being dragged over half the time.

And I'm wearing it right now!!!

Nostalgia: Pizza Edition

One of my favorite board games when I was little was Pizza Party. I don't remember all of the rules, but I do know that it involved making slices of pizza. I never owned the game myself, but this really annoying girl down the street did. I'd put up with her for an afternoon just so I could play Pizza Party. Well that and touch her Jordan Knight doll's rat tail.

Kristen Stewart's i Phone 4S

This is pretty hilarious.

I Loved Me Some Play Doh

When I was a kid play doh was one of my favorite things. My mom would often confiscate it because she said I got it in the carpet. I really don't think it would have been too hard for her to get a plastic mat to put under my Little Tike picnic table, but what ev. The fuzzy pumper barber play set was one of the coolest ones. There was nothing better than pumpin out some hair and cutting through it with plastic scissors. Although, cleaning out the head was kind of a bitch. This is the first one I had.

And she was my favorite.

Is There Anything Better Than Lego Clayface

I've been thinking about it, and he just looks too awesome as a Lego person. When I first saw him in Lego Batman 2 I almost peed myself.

New Hobbit Trailer

Here's a brand new trailer for the upcoming Hobbit film, An Unexpected Journey. It looks like it'll be really good, and I love casting Martin Freeman as Bilbo. He just seems like a natural hobbit.

Parks and Rec Season 5!

One of my favorite shows is coming back for a brand new season this Thursday. I'm really excited, and from the trailer they posted it looks like it'll be another hilarious year in Pawnee.

Days of Future Past

So the title for the next X-Men movie and sequel to First Class has been announced, and it's Days of Future Past, the title of one of my favorite X-Men stories. Here is a synopsis of that story.

It deals with a dystopian alternative future in which mutants are incarcerated in internment camps. An older Kitty Pryde transfers her mind into the younger, present-day Kitty Pryde, who brings the X-Men to prevent a fatal moment in history which triggers anti-mutant hysteria.

So it's kind of strange since some of the pivotal characters aren't around yet given the time period of the last film. I'm sure they'll change stuff around I just wonder how faithful it will be to the original story. Since it is one of the most loved, they are setting up a lot of expectations.

Also, a pic of the really cool Days of Future Past action figures.

PeeWee's Crack

Lego Leia Part 2

I decided it might be good to re-post some of my DragonCon pictures this time a little larger with better quality now that I'm at a real computer. Up first here are a few shots taken this year when my lego slave Leia came out for her third year.

I had no idea what was going on here. That head is not so easy to see out of.

Real Leia, meet Lego Leia.

Pulp's video for This Is Hardcore. It's a super awesome video, and the song has been stuck in my head for about two weeks now.

Hmmm

Batman and Robin spend an awful lot of time together in questionable situations. I do hope Robin is of age.

Oh That Gordon Ramsay

It must be nice to get to a place in your career that you can say whatever you want to annoying customers and not have to kiss their ass. I'd say the king of doing that would have to be Gordon Ramsay. Here are some pretty hilarious responses he has to diners that interrupt him during service in Hell's Kitchen. I mean haven't they ever watched the show before?

The Crying Game

Recently I've been watching a lot of Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares. It follows Gordon Ramsay who goes to restaurants that are failing and helps the owners turn things around. Often he helps fix the menu, décor and the way the restaurant is run. The owners aren’t super open to change at first but eventually turn things around. There tend to be two types of episodes. While the owners are trying to adjust to Gordon’s ideas they either cry a whole bunch or yell a whole bunch. Crying is more popular. My boyfriend and I made a drinking game to go along with it. Every time someone cries you drink. I know it doesn’t sound like a lot, but trust me. It can get you wasted. My favorite episode to date has to be the one that features the Capri twins. Two identical forty-something twins that run an Italian restaurant. One takes the yelling route while the other cries like there’s no tomorrow. Check out the awesome clip.

This Is Real

This actually appeared in a real comic. It was a whole Spider-Man PSA issue. It kind of blows my mind. You may need to click on the first pic to read it. Trust me, it's worth it.

Because This Makes Me Happy

The Jesus and Mary Chain

Since I'm seeing them on Thursday (I'm sooo pumped!!!) I feel like posting some videos to get me in the mood.

Oh and sorry if the videos have that awful 5 hour energy commercial. It's nice to know that doctors would recommend a low calorie energy supplement over a regular one for people who are already taking an an energy supplement.

Amazing Star Wars Merch

I was just thinking about the sweet taun taun on a stick I bought at DragonCon and the taun taun sleeping bag I also have. Star Wars fans are lucky enough to have some pretty amazing merchandise out there. Here are a few more cool things one can buy.
