The Magic of the Power Pad

I really wish I had a working NES just so I could play with the Power Pad. It was one of the coolest things ever as a kid, and I bet it would still seem pretty sweet today. Almost two decades before the Wii Balance Board made its debut, this little baby was getting people up moving around while playing video games. We never actually had one but were able to borrow one every once and a while. The only game I really remember playing on it was the World Class Track game.

The hurdles were my favorite.

Cheetah, Smeetah. I could totally take him.

  1. I was such a boss at World Class Track Meet. I used to go over to my friend's house when I was little to play this all of the time. He was a sore loser and, since I always won, he gave me the game/power pad.

Then I was bad and my mom sold the NES and all of my games at a garage sale while I was at camp.
