I'm Feeling Some Spice Girl Love

I don't know why, but when I got into my office this morning I had the strong desire to listen to some Spice Girls. That and play with these! I love that they had several different Spice Girls dolls along with multiple outfits for each. It would have been unjust any other way.

The Greatest Lunch Pail Ever

Ever since the first time I saw Return to Oz (and was traumatized) I've always wished I has the super sweet lunch pail Dorothy gets that grows from a tree. Realistically, I could probably make myself one, but for now I'll be lazy and dreamily stare at pictures of one.

Right now I'm thinking about how completely necessary it will be for me to make a bunch of these lunch pails and hang them from a tree in my backyard. That way when I'm back there jumping on my trampoline and get hungry, they'll be a tasty snack just hanging by.

How to Be a Hipster

I kind of love the show Happy Endings, and I really like the episode where Penny dates a hipster. She has to get lessons on how to fit in with hipsters, and it's pretty spot on.

Berry Bears!

I just realized the name of the bear fruit snacks I loved. They were Berry Bears. They had the awesome yogurt pegasus one that had different colored wings. Each box also came with a little action figure that was a member of the bear family. For some reason I remember almost always getting the baby bear. I don't know why but I can't find pictures of the box or the actual fruit snacks anywhere. It's become my new crazy mission for the day. I want some pictures of Berry Bears! I did, however, find a picture of the action figures. It's all I have for now, but at least it means they were real.

Gummy Goodness

My mom happened to surprise me with a sweet box of Star Wars fruit snacks, because she remembered how much I loved them as a child. This got me thinking back to all the awesome fruit snacks I'd eat on a daily basis when I was a kid. I really wanted to find the gummy bear fruit snacks that had the different colored unicorn pegasi, but I haven't been able to find much on them anywhere. They were one of my favorites. Oh well.

The Great White sharks were the best. It was also so satisfying when you got one.

American Horror Story Goes Where It Has Never Gone Before

I'm pretty sure I've already written about my deep love of the show American Horror Story. It really is one of the best things currently on tv. Every week crazy new things happen that tend to be pretty shocking. This week's episode had something that I never dreamed I'd see on this show.

Lil Miss

One of the first Christmases I remember clearly was when I got a Lil Miss Makeup doll. Not only did I get the coolest doll a five year old could dream for, but I got the deluxe Triple Change Lil Miss Makeup which had three different outfit options (one of which included a super awesome sweatband). Apparently the magic of dousing a doll’s face with warm and cold water brought me endless joy because I continued on in the Lil Miss collection deciding I needed all of the dolls that followed.

I believe Lil Miss Magic Hair was next. Now instead of rubbing water all over my doll’s face I could use the magic hairbrush to change her hair color and also draw what I’m sure were really crappy designs in her hair.

Lil Miss Dress Up was maybe my favorite. Part of her hair could change colors like Lil Miss Magic Hair’s, but she had a super awesome skirt and vest you could draw on with your magic pens. They would go from pink to blue and vice versa. The reason I loved this one so much is because it reminded me of the hypercolor shirts my older sister had. They went from blue to pink/ pink to blue also so it made me feel like I had a pretty stylin doll.

And then there was Lil Miss Mermaid. I got really excited when she came out because we had a pool in the backyard and spent endless hours putting diving rings around our ankles pretending to be mermaids. When you put her into water the colors on her tail changed color. Also, she sang. It sounded kind of like the song the disguised Ursala from The Little Mermaid sang to entice Prince Eric.

Lil Miss Magic Jewels was next. She had a wand that could attach jewels to hair or dress. At the time I didn’t have a bedazzler, but I did have Lil Miss Magic Jewels.

Wee Lil Miss Bedtime was smaller than the previous dolls. Cold water mad her eyes close, and she came with pajamas.

Wee Lil Miss Ballerina apparently went from crazy hooker princess to tasteful ballerina.

Oz in the New Year?

A new commercial for the movie Oz the Great and Powerful has been released, and it's pretty weird. Yeah, we have just entered a new year, but how does that have anything to do with Oz?
